From Tuesday 28 till Thursday 30 June children from the 2nd-4th grade can create experimental art and work with recycling projects at Museum Ovartaci. Active Summer Holiday is Aarhus Municipality’s offer for children living in the municipality.

Museum Ovartaci has created a series of podcasts in connection with Ovartaci’s presence at the main pavilion at the Venice Biennale. As a modern travelogue, the podcasts illustrate the city, the Biennale and Ovartaci’s art in a new and international context.

On 10 June LiteratureXchange holds an all-day event at Kultur Bunkeren and in connection with that asks: “Is literature healthy?”

Brian Benjamin Hansen, post.doc at Museum Ovartaci participates with a presentation about his research on Ovartaci’s self-treatment through art.

On Thursday 16 June from 17-19, the author Anna Dyhr will introduce her diary novel and mourning work: Man forsvinder ikke bare (One does not simply just disappear) and invites you to a dialogue about how to deal with grief through writing processes.

The event is a combination of readings and personal stories based on her mourning work as well as three paintings by artist Christina Angelou.

After the event you can buy a signed copy of Man forsvinder ikke bare.

Saturday 11 and 18 June at 12:30 you can join a guided tour of our special exhibition Ovartaci in Venice. The tour introduces you to Ovartacis life and works and the themes of the exhibition.

Duration 30 minutes.

On Wednesday 29 June from 11-14 the creative workshop ‘Frirummet’ of the museum holds a summer market.

Drop by the workshop at Katrinebjergvej 81 -follow the signs – and enjoy a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee.

At the same time take a look at the different creative works for sale – all made by the users of the workshop. You might find a gift for a special one.
