Ovartaci in his own words

In the museum’s new permanent exhibition, we give the word to Ovartaci.

In the museum’s archives lie the old reel-to-reel tapes with recordings of conversations between Ovartaci and head physician Johannes Nielsen. The conversations are about Ovartaci’s thoughts, feelings, and visions in relation to a selection of Ovartaci’s works.

Thanks to financial support from Aarhus Kommunes Kunstudviklingspulje the recordings have been cleaned and digitized and will be used in the Museum’s new permanent exhibition.

Booking of guided tours

Bookings for guided tours in the Museum’s new permanent exhibition are already open. We are experiencing great interest in the tours and recommend that you book your tour well in advance if you want a specific date.

The price of a guided tour during the opening hours is 600 DKK plus entrance to the Museum 75 DKK per person for a group of minimum 10 persons. For groups with fewer than 10 persons the price is 1,350 DKK.

Tours are booked by sending an email with information about date, number of participants and contact details and we will get back to you.
