Henning Egebjerg Simonsen A simple line – spontaneous, but steady and elegant. The line – As in the era of CoBrA the lines meet and separate and then gather again. Cavities are filled with colour, and strokes and surfaces turn into human shapes and expressive faces.
Henning Egebjerg Simonsen (1936-1989) spent almost half of his life in mental institutions. In spite of this kind of life – or perhaps because of it – he was strongly occupied with painting and expressing himself through art.
